In November Rouen begins to celebrate the Christmas season in front of the Cathedral the Marché de Noël as over 40 stalls are erected to sell their seasonal wares.

Rouen makes the perfect destination for a Christmas weekend in France and apart from the many market stalls it has two ice rinks upon which to skate to your heart’s content.

With cobbled streets and wonderful shopping potential Rouen was ‘made for the Christmas season’! Set directly in front of Rouen’s famous and very impressive Cathedral are the two ice rinks and a variety of stalls selling festive food and drink, and in addition, throughout the Old Town there are further stalls selling the sort of products that could only be bought locally.

Said to be one of the best of France’s Christmas Markets this is a destination that will stay in your memory long after you return.
