Nuremberg Christmas Market
There is a sense of historical significance with the Nuremberg Christmas market which dates back to the 16th Century.
Every year the market is opened by the Nuremberg Christmas Angel (a local young lady) and there are many unique qualities about the markets. Apart from the variety of delicious local foods and treats such as the Nuremberg Gingerbread cookies and sweet roasted almonds there is also a children’s ‘dreamland’ which includes a two-level merry-go-round, a large railway, and little ‘child proportioned’ houses.
This year the theme is around the Musical Christa which is essentially about the real values of Christmas; grace, charity and Christianity.
